About me

My name is Tawney. I am an integrative psychotherapist working on Djaara country near Daylesford.

I’m interested in what makes our lives meaningful, and the ways we can relate to our suffering with sincerity.

My training has focused on relationships as the primary source of our becoming; our first caregivers, family and community, our relationship to place, our relationship to the systems which govern us on small and large scales. It is these processes of relating which have shaped who we are and the patterns that emerge in our lives.

This is why I treat the relationship that we develop in the therapy space as the most significant part of our exploration. This relationship has the potential to rewrite, to heal, and to open new possibilities.

I hold a Bachelor of Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy (Ikon Institute) and am a registered member of Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

I also hold a Bachelor of Gender Studies/Creative Writing (Swinburne University) and have undertaken an internship in Deep Ecology with John Seed. This past decade of my life has been a major exploration of ceremony, awareness practices, and plant medicine.
